Teresa Albuquerque


Born in Lisbon. Licence degree in Media Studies and Master "Spécialisé Européen Management des Entreprises Culturelles" (Dijon Business School, 1994).


From 1986 until 1996, produces and coordinates different kind of cultural events (music workshops, festivals...) works as a director's assistant in cinema and audiovisual productions.


In 1996 joins for 2 years the Prime-minister's Cabinet as the assistant to the Cultural Adviser and, in 1998, joins the Portuguese Cinema Institute as an adviser of the Institute's President.


In 1999, Teresa Albuquerque creates her own production and editing company: Plano 9, developing projects in different media: paper, digital, film, video...


She is a member of the board of directors of the Casa de Mateus Foundation and of the Casas de Fronteira e Alorna Foundation. Since march 2010 she is vice-president of the Casa de Mateus International Institute (IICM).


With Alvaro García de Zúñiga she starts a performative artistic activity. In 1996, they both created blablaLab to work on transdisciplinary and multilingual projects.
